Work at the frontier of legal AI in India.

We're building the law firm that should have existed ten years ago. If you're a seasoned commercial lawyer who's tired of routine and genuinely excited about what AI can do for legal work — we should talk.

Our mission

Why aircounsel.ai is different for lawyers

Most commercial lawyers spend a large proportion of their time on work that should be automated. Pulling precedents, checking formatting, running basic negotiation playbooks. It's work that doesn't require judgment — it requires time.

At aircounsel.ai, we've built an AI-augmented workflow that handles that layer. Which means our lawyers spend their time on the part that actually matters: judgment, strategy, negotiation, and client advice.

The result is better work, faster delivery, and a practice that doesn't grind you down. We're building this from scratch and we want people who want to build it with us.

What we look for

The kind of lawyer we want to work with

⚖️
5–8 years PQE

Enough experience to handle commercial contracts independently, with confidence and judgment.

🏛️
Tier 1 background

Experience at AZB, Cyril Amarchand, S&R, Khaitan, or equivalent — you know what high-quality work looks like.

🤖
Genuinely excited about AI

Not just open to it — curious about it. You've probably already been experimenting with AI tools in your practice.

🏗️
Builder mindset

You want to be part of something being built, not just a cog in a machine. You have opinions and you'll share them.

What you get

A different kind of practice

We're building the working environment we wished had existed when we were associates.

Flexible hours, work from anywhere

We care about output, not face time. Work from home, a co-working space, or wherever you're productive. We have no mandatory office hours.

AI handles routine work so you focus on judgment

Our AI tools handle first drafts, research, and formatting. You spend your time on the parts that actually require a qualified lawyer's judgment.

Revenue share and ownership

We structure compensation as a revenue share — you earn in proportion to what you deliver. As the firm grows, you grow with it. We're open to equity conversations for the right people.

Be part of building something new

This is an early team. Your opinions will shape how the firm operates, what we build, and how we work. That opportunity doesn't come around often in legal.

Open Revenue Share

We're looking for an experienced commercial lawyer to work with us on a freelance, revenue-share basis. You'll handle commercial contracts — NDAs, MSAs, SaaS agreements, vendor contracts, employment agreements — for our startup clients. You'll be supported by our AI workflow, which means less time on first drafts and research, and more time on what you're actually good at.

You'll be doing:

  • Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts for seed-to-Series A Indian startups
  • Client communication and advice on contract terms and negotiation strategy
  • Using our AI tools to work faster — and giving us feedback on how to improve them
  • Occasionally supporting fundraising work (CCDs, term sheets) if you have the experience
  • Helping shape how the firm operates as an early team member

What we're looking for:

  • 5–8 years PQE, with a background in commercial contracts at a Tier 1 Indian firm
  • Strong drafting skills and comfort handling contracts independently
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and how it's changing legal practice
  • Good communication — you'll interact directly with startup founders and operators
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own time
